You couldn’t hold in the sobs of relief once the door was kicked open and you were face to face with your husband in full combat gear. Relief washed over you as you recognized your sons’ shouts. Then you heard a commotion outside of your small room. You were scared, wanting nothing more than to be home with your family. Unfortunately, having to think about your baby’s safety meant you couldn’t recklessly mouth off because you were upset about your predicament. If you only had to think of yourself, you’d try and needle Tommy a bit by making it clear that no matter what he did, he would never be Bruce or have what he does. Tommy was a very capable doctor and very interested in keeping your baby safe, but you feared what would happen the longer you waited to be rescued. Going down their lists of possible hideouts, they knew this last one was their only chance before the trail went cold. They knew the longer it took to find you meant the odds of finding you okay were dwindling quickly.
